David A. Prior and his production team of seasoned professionals have written, produced and directed over 30 feature films. All have been sucessful in their own right. No, none of them were big and famous but all of them made their money back plus some. These movies are kept profitable by being made cheap but always with some 'name' talent.

When Lightning Strikes: SOLD - Soon Going Into Production For The Sci-Fi Channel
A Spielberg-ish, supernatural action/drama in the tradition of Jaws and Moby Dick. A small town in North Carolina is surrounded by an electrical storm and it won’t let anyone leave. Because there is something in the lightning. Something ancient. Something evil. A creature who actually exists within the lightning itself and controls it. One you can only see during a suspension of time and space in between when the lightning hits you and when you hit the ground. This creature now holds an entire town hostage and only one man has a chance of saving them.

Jojo: Screenplay Completed
A light hearted fatasy about a nine year old boy who finds a magical man-like three foot tall creature living behind the ivy vines that are in back of the local baseball field. The creature and he become great freinds and together enjoy the mis-adventures of youth in the suburbs.

City Of Dragons: Screenplay Completed
This is a mythical tale of a young sixteen year old King who embarks on the adventure of a life time in search of finding and slaying a fabled dragon. Along the way he has to deal with the likes of horrible flying gargoyles, six foot tall talking lizard people, horrid wolf men, and other creatures. And when he finally finds the dragon he makes freinds with it instead of killing it and in the end it is the Dragon who saves his Kingdom which is under siege by a ruthless King from another country. What the young King learns in this story is the the most important lesson of all, the measure of a man is not how he dies but how he lives.

Deadly Survivor: Screenplay Completed
This is a non-stop action piece in which a Highly Decorated Iraqi War veteran is down on his luck when he is offered a rather strange job. People want to hunt him for sport. And the money is so good he takes the job but very soon learns that these people intend to kill him and that was not part of the deal. And so Trevor Stanton is forced to use his exceptional survival and combat skills to overcome his hunters and foil a multi-million dollar scam being attempted by the same man who hired him. This is a classic case of the hunted becoming the hunter.

Silent Justice: Screenplay Completed
Someone is robbing the city’s drug dealers of millions of dollars. All untraceable cash And they’re giving the money way, at least some of it, to churches and to the poor. The media loves it. They call the thief Robin Hood. But Bill Tanner, a type of loose-cannon cop who tends to go overboard in his work, is not amused when all the fingers of blame start to point at him. This is a highly character driven inner-city, police action drama in the genre of the original Lethal Weapon with lots of action and plenty of humor.

Black Out: Screenplay Completed
Nothing but blackness and the somewhat distorted sounds of a busy city street. Then slowly, an unfocused, unsteady image of this busy city street becomes visible. And we find that we are looking through the eyes of one Jack Brandon. A man who literally has just become conscious while walking down this street. He doesn’t know where he is, or who he is and barely has time to think about it before men are trying to kill him and police are after him. Form this point we follow Jack through a web of deceit as he begins to learn who he is and what he has done. But nothing in this story will be as it seems. Nothing.

Prometheus One: Screenplay Completed
The destruction of the Earth's Ozone has reached a critical point and man's only solution is the brainchild of a sixteen year old boy genius. If it works mankind will be safe for a million years. If it doesn't all hell will break loose.

In The Song: In Development
In the tradition of the old Frank Capra movies this is a fantasy about a middle-aged country and western star who embarks upon a journey for his own truth in life, which includes the finding of his father, who had walked out on him over thirty years ago and who himself is a legend in the world of country music. But what he finds is not what he expected.
